Chlorine safety training
operation & maintenance



Enable the workers to operate or maintain safely the chlorine facilities.

TRAINEES PROFILE

All workers, technicians, supervisors, head of operation maintenance and managers who are directly involved in the operation or maintenance of chlorination systems, including those who have responsibility for disconnecting and connecting liquefied gas chlorine tonner, containers or cylinders. 

PROGRAM

• Toxicology of chlorine
• Chlorine Safety Data Sheets
• Chemical identification and labeling systems (NFPA & HMIS) for chlorine
• Design of chlorine facilities
• Process using chlorine

• Develop a SSW (Safe System of Work) for chlorine handling dealing with the 10 Chlorine golden rules
• Engineering controls, collective protection and Personal Protective Equipment
Hands-on practice on site with chlorine special Personal Protective Equipment including respirator
• Chlorine cylinder B50 manual handling
• Chlorine tonner mechanical handling with Overhead crane
• Safe System of Work for chlorine intervention
• Connecting / disconnecting a chlorine tonner or cylinder to the process pipes
• Emergency procedures, KIT ; KIT B information
• Evaluation on theory and practice

The program will also include a commented visit of the Chlorination facilities.
